DLNA HTML5 Remote User Interface Tests and Test Resources

This page contains links to tests and test resources applicable to DLNA HTML5 Remote User Interface client implementations.

CableLabs is building a reference implementation of the DLNA HTML5 Remote User Interface (RUI) client. This free open-source project is developed in partnership with ARM, FXI Technologies, Cox Communications and others. Please see CableLabs DLNA HTML5 Remote User Interface for details.

DLNA "Mapping from MPEG-2 Transport to HTML5" Adherence Testing

The CableLabs specification "Mapping from MPEG-2 Transport to HTML5" defines how HTML5 user agents (UAs) translate MPEG-2 TS elementary streams into equivalent HTML5 video, audio, and text track elements.

CableLabs is providing tests and test scripts for the purpose of verifying DLNA HTML5 Remote User Interface client adherence to the Mapping from MPEG-2 Transport to HTML5 specification.

The test platform comprises test scripts (HTML5/JavaScript) that source the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Test Harness and various test media files all served from a local web server or DMS (digital media server). For platform installation instructions and usage, please see the CableLabs Test Platform Installation document as well as the W3C test harness repository and wiki.
